You’ll soon need a reservation to watch the sunrise

Supply and demand – in this case, too many vehicles for too few parking spots – has necessitated a reservation system to watch the sunrise at Haleakala National Park. Early-morning crowds to Haleakala regularly exceed 1,000, while parking spaces number just 150, causing visitor and employee safety concerns. “Halloween in Lahaina” Returns this Monday!
